The Green Brigade

Evansville North’s award-winning marching band!

 

     The Evansville North Green Brigade strives for excellence each and every year.  We expect our students to represent our school and community in the highest manner.  The group has received numerous Best in Class awards and Grand Champion awards in local and regional competitions.  The Green Brigade has also received numerous Gold Division Ratings in ISSMA events, having advanced to the Regional level for 21 consecutive years!   The 2010 Green Brigade, pictured to the left, advanced to the ISSMA Class B Semi-State and received the highest score among all EVSC bands!  The group has also performed for President Ronald Reagan in 1986, for the Inaugural of Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels in 2006, for the Peach Bowl in 1986, and for the nationally televised Disney Easter Parade in 1997.  The Green Brigade has performed at Disneyworld in Orlando, Florida on 11 different occasions.    Past  performances also include Bands of America events at Indiana University Stadium,  in St. Louis' TWA Dome and in the  Indianapolis RCA Dome.  The group will participate in the 2012 National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C.

North Band Camp

 

     Each member is required to attend Band Camp at Eastern Illinois University.  Specialized section instructors are utilized, along with parent volunteers to help provide support during the camp.  A detailed letter outlining the camp will be sent to current members as well as incoming members.  If you are able to help as a parent volunteer, or would wish to have more details, please contact us!
