     If you are an alumnus of North High School, you will enjoy taking this trip down memory lane as you read our history pages.  Information was gathered from research of the North Compass year books and also from friends, current and former teachers, and acquaintances of those representing the history of North High School.  It is intriguing to follow the path taken from the opening of the school in 1956 to this current time.   The new North High School will open in January, 2012.  We will be saying goodbye to our current building, located at 2319 Stringtown Road.  There are some incredibly gifted people who have gone through this school.   It is a pleasure to present these pages in tribute to all of the outstanding students, current and former teachers, parents, and friends who have contributed to make North High School the best high school in Evansville!
