History of the Program

     If you are an alumnus of North High School, you will enjoy taking this trip down memory lane as you read our history pages.  Information was gathered from research of the North Compass year books and also from friends, teachers, and acquaintances of those representing the history of North High School.  It is interesting to follow the path taken from the opening of the school in 1956 to the current time.   We are now on the horizon of a new North High School being developed for opening in the Fall of 2011.  There are some incredible people who have gone through this school.   It is a pleasure to present these pages in honor of all the outstanding students, teachers, parents, and friends who have contributed to make North High School the best high school in Evansville!
